Requirments to get on the Ice
USA Hockey Number
Each Season you need to get a new membership number.
There is a fee to this that EHA will reimburse at the end of the season
You must send your number to the EHA Registrar
Safesport
All coaches must complete Safesport training before being allowed on the ice. This is an annual requirement that must be completed within 12 months of your last course. After completing it the first year you will then have shorter refresher courses the following years.
background screening
All coaches must complete. This is Bi-annual requirement. This can take up to 14 days to clear and you cannot particapate as a coach until it shows in our system as completed. There is a fee that will be reimbursed by EHA at the end of the season.
Training Module
Complete the age specific module for the age group that you are coaching. This must be completed prior to getting the ice.
Requirement to complete by Dec 31st
Coaching Certifacation
Attend an appropriate coaching clinic if your certification is expiring or expired. Currently clinics are being done both virtually and in-person. There is a fee that will be reimbursed by EHA at the end of the season (up to the cost of a level 3 clinic). This does not need to be competed until December 31st, but please understand that if after that time you have not completed the requirements, you will be removed from the roster per USAHockey rules.
