Scholarship Opportunity for past and present EHA Skaters

Patric McGlynn Memorial Scholarship

This is our second year offering the The Patric MGlynn Memorial Scholarship. It will be awarded each year to a hockey player that demonstrates teamwork and sportsmanship through their hockey career. Patric was a well-respected, quiet leader within the hockey community. In memory of him, this scholarship will go to a hockey player that has demonstrated similar qualities and values.

The value of the scholarship is $1,000.00

ELIGIBILITY:

The Patric McGlynn Scholarship is available to any graduating High School Senior.

The applicant must be a student who played for the Enfield Hockey Association or the Enfield / East Granby / Stafford Hockey Team.

The applicant must currently be a high school senior who plans to attend a 2 year or 4-year college or a trade school in the fall of 2024.

Please include the school you will be attending or the schools you have been accepted to.

TO APPLY:

Each applicant is required to submit an essay between 250 -500 words. The applicant may choose any one of the three topics listed below to write about.


Provide a specific example of someone during your hockey career that you felt demonstrated strong leadership qualities that had an impact on you.

Share how your involvement in community service has helped shape who you are.

Write a letter to your elementary school aged self-explaining what they can expect from their hockey career.   

Please include the number of years and which divisions that you skated for the Enfield Hockey Association or Enfield / East Granby / Stafford High School Hockey Team.
