Registration

Registration Procedures

All players and coaches are required to register directly with USA Hockey.  The online process is very simple and is outlined below.  Players or coaches who fail to register will not be allowed to participate in any hockey program or tryouts.  If you have any questions, please contact the EHA Registrar, Brenda Sniffin, by phone at 860-416-5659 or by email at  or contact the EHA President, Bob Fiedler, by phone at 413-786-0749 or by email at .

Guide To USA Hockey Online Registration
The USA Hockey season goes from September 1 through August 31 of each year.  Online registration for the 2010 - 2011 season will be available starting April 1, 2010.  To complete your players' USA Hockey registration complete the following steps.
  1. Go to www.usahockey.com and click on
  2. Choose member type Ice Player or Coach.
  3. You must be 18 years of age to process a registration.  Check the box that acknowledges that you are 18 or older.
  4. Follow the prompts... fill in all data correctly.  You must enter your child's name as it appears on their birth certificate.  No nicknames are allowed.
  5. Process payment - Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express (credit or debit card).  A Visa gift card can be used for payment if no credit card is available.
  6. You may print your confirmation page at this time.  Your confirmation will be emailed to you immediately after registration is completed.  Once you receive the confirmation email from USA Hockey, forward it to Brenda Sniffin at .  Forward the exact email confirmation that USA Hockey sends.  Do not save it to a document and then forward.  The email contains a barcode which is needed by the Registrar to complete your registration.

USA Hockey Fees
Each participant will pay the USA Hockey fee of $30 if age 7 or older.  The USA Hockey fee is waived for age 6 (birth year 2004) and younger but the registration must still be completed to get the confirmation number.  Players who live in Connecticut will also pay the Connecticut Hockey Conference affiliate fee of $10.  Those of you who live in Massachusetts will pay the Massachusetts Youth Hockey fee.  The USA Hockey affiliate fee is determined by a player's residence, not the state in which they play and applies to all youth players regardless of age.

Additional Information
The home address should be used for all participants.  If a player lives in one state and plays in another, enter the home address and pay the applicable affiliate fee.  The confirmation page/number will be accepted by any USA Hockey program in the country.  To register, an email address is required.

EHA Travel Team and ADM Registration
To complete the EHA Travel Team and ADM Registration process, if you have not already done so, the EHA Registration Packet must be completed by every skater.  The registration packet includes the Player Registration form, Medical History form, Waiver Of Liabitlity form, and the Consent To Treat form.  Each of these forms must be completed and mailed to the EHA Registrar.  A copy of a birth certificate must accompany the registration form if you are a new player.  For those skaters that attended the tryouts in the Spring, these forms have already been completed.  If you are not currently on a team and would like to participate in the 2010 - 2011 season, please contact the Registrar or the EHA President.

There are two registration packets available in a PDF format file.  For ADM, Mites, Squirts, and Pee Wees, click on this document icon  to access your registration packet.  Midgets and Bantams who are skating on the Midget team, click on this document icon  to access the Midget Registration Packet.  After opening the file, you can print the forms.  The mailing address of the Registrar is provided below:

EHA Instructional Registration
The Enfield Hockey Association (EHA) accepts applications for its Instructional (Learn To Skate) program in the Fall as well as during the season.

This program is for new skaters and develops the skills fundamental to the game of hockey in a non-competitive environment.  Fun, physical development, and a sociable environment are stressed.  Girls and boy ages 3 and up are taught to skate by a USA Hockey cerfified coaching staff.  This program will skate an average of one hour per week on Sunday mornings from 9:20 am - 10:20 am.

The cost of the program for the first 4 weeks is $50.00.  For those interested, there are discounted equipment packages available.  These EHA specially priced packages are $50.00 and include all of the equipment required to start the program.  If you plan on taking advantage of the equipment package, a sizing clinic will be held on September 1st and September 8th at the Enfield Twin Rinks.  There will be knowledgable people on hand to ensure that your child is properly fitted.  The time of the clinic will be announced shortly.

Following the first 4 week session, there will be two (2) 10 week sessions.  The first 10 week session will skate from October 10th through December 12th.  The second 10 week session will skate from December 19th through February 20th.  The cost of each 10 week session is $150.00.  The total for the 24 week program, with equipment, is $400.00.

To sign up, the registration packet must be completed and mailed to the EHA Registrar.  To open the packet, click on this document icon .  After opening the file, you can print the forms.  Once the forms are complete, mail them to the Registrar at the address listed below:

In addition to the registration forms, each skater must register with USA Hockey.  Instructions for that process is located above, in the Guide To USA Hockey Online Registration paragraph.
